This is my entry for Threadless. If you like it you should go vote for it when its up.
The bottom three images show my sketch development in reverse chronological order. It started with a sketch for a pen pal, which is a very good motivator for cranking out original ideas every week. The larger sketch was 14" x 17", but I thought I lost the expression of the face I originally envisioned. The final sketch still didn't have the right border, which was drawn separately and arranged in Photoshop. The final painting is the second I have ever done on a computer.
