This was my first time ever painting a drawing in photoshop. The Wacom I had to borrow didn't give me pressure sensitivity either so this took a while. Below is my process.
At this point I came to a crossroad about how to color the big guy. I imagined him the hue of a blood blister with pus yellow lips, which I thought jived with the palette. I was aiming for a colorway that would make you rush to the hospital if spotted on your body. Seeing him white surrounded by all that mess really pressed me to go about making him an albino. The covers for the Saw movies and the monsters from The Descent absolutely nail the striking creepiness of pure white smeared in dirt. Maybe I will do a variant if it goes to print. I'll post the completed poster later.
